Is Clickbank Broken?

    1. There are thousands of posts on forums all over the internet about clickbank tracking issues, they can't all be wrong of that much I'm certain!

    2. Technically saavy individuals have built webpages and ranked them in google search engines for keyphrases like "clickbank tracking not working" "clickbank sucks" etc...etc....do you think people who are capable of building websites and ranking them are newbs who don't know what they are doing???

    3. There are videos on youtube about commission theft involving clickbank

    4. I myself have gone 7 day stretches without any sales. This would'nt seem so unusual to me except for the fact that i average 9 sales a day??

This is my first post here but I've read through many posts over the years and this is the first time I've felt compelled to open an account. Clickbank truely has me frustrated.

lol... another guy saying it's clickbank's fault because you didn't make sales for 7 days.... your "9 sales a day" lasts for how long? 1 year? or just 1 month... if you last for 1 year... and suddenly drop to 0 for 7 days.. i may believe sth is unusual...

Why don't you try buying a cheap product through your affiliate link to see if you get credited? That is a perfect way to test.

As far as i know, Clickbank may have some issues with tracking. Lets face it, which company functions at a 100% efficiency? However, I think they track most of the sales correctly.

It is true that there is so much info about clickbank stealing commissions out there. The truth is that most of these people do not have any concrete proof. They always advance some lame scenarios which cant prove anything at all.

There are really advance tracking systems you can use to track every single move on your website. It will be very easy for a vendor to see if anything is intentionally going wrong.

All said, I think it is a bit strange that you average 9 sales a day, then go 7 days without a single sale. Are you promoting just one product? If that is the case, then maybe the product stop selling suddenly. If you have a diversified portfolio of products, then it is kind of strange that you get 7 days of no sale. But dude, affiliate marketing is really unpredictable.

I have been averaging 9 sales a day for 1 1/2 years and what about the 22 emails??? Or were you so anxious to snuff out this thread that you did'nt read that far?

One thing I've noticed from reading this forum over the last couple of years is there are alot of people who vigorously attack anyone who questions clickbank? I have to wonder what there motivations are???

hmm, I think they are not trying to attack anyone questions about clickbank, but to make a fair statement. Since you think it's clickbank's tracking error or other problems, maybe you should email them for help.

    Yep....It's broken

There are people on this forum who will attack anyone who posts anything negative about clickbank. That's because they are either vendors or clickbank employees.

I have decided to devote some time to pointing those people out to others. pm me if you wish to know who I believe is "BIASED" towards clickbank

I no longer promote clickbank products as I do well with a few other networks....but the thing that has set me free and actually given me more time is PROMOTING MY OWN PRODUCTS! It's awesome seeing the conversions in Adwords and having them match up exactly with sales. My Order page impression to actual sales count is about 10 times better than with clickbank and about 5 times better than the other networks. So, my advice to the OP is

    Promote Your Own Products!!

What 22 emails? I cant see you mentioning anything about emails.

Dude why do you care who is biased toward clickbank? I have never had major problems with clickbank before but I dont think I am doing enough volume to notice (avg 3-4 sales/day). I know there are probably tracking issues but I know that I make money.

A lot of people here will support clickbank because clickbank is their business, they are vendors and affiliates and any negativity circulating hurts clickbank and thus hurts their business. There is nothing sinister to this so I dont see what you devoting time to point these people out to to other people will accomplish.

No offence intended at all mate I just dont like to see people wasting time arguing on forums when there is money to be made.

P.S you're products got affiliate programs? PM me!

I don't think there's anyone here that is attacking anyone. The language may get harsh, but that's simply because we get tired of people coming in here with "clickbank's broken" claims, without a shred of evidence to back it up. Believe me if even ONE person brought some evidence into this forum, it would have a million and one readers by now, and practically be pasted to the top of the forums. But no one ever does.

Believe me, if Clickbank was doing some shady stuff, it would be extremely easy for someone to catch them. I mean they have it set up where you use your own website for the thank-you page and download. Anyone who knows even halfway what they are doing, can track anyone downloading their products. They'd know immediately if clickbank was skimming sales.

Now I'm not going to deny that Clickbank may have some major tracking and delivery problems, but they are not ripping anyone off. I just think they need to spend just as much time on their tracking and delivery, as they do on their crappy marketplace.

    lol GOOD OLD CARNANO!!

Like I said before dude why dont you send us a video to backup your proof, these threads are worthless cos when u investigate them it always comes down to a noob mistake, my hunch is the OP is promoting one product and now has competition for that product which has cut his sales down, I'm really tired of these people that refuse to recognise their mistakes and are taking the easy road and blaming clickbank, why the hell would CB want to rip people off???

I'm just confused when I have about 4 order form submissions, but only come out with 1 sale - I believe I should be making much more money - I feel like I deserve an explanation of why this is happening.

They do have tracking problem, i get lot of emails from my blog visitors that their CC got rejected by Clickbank. Also, some sales do not credit ( you will know if you track sales with adwords).

Most of the time this happens when someone clicks the "Paypal" button (which counts as a form submission) and then doesn't buy. Or their CC gets declined. Perfectly logical explanations.

EVERY affiliate program will have SOME tracking issues SOME times. Those of you who say "Clickbank is broken" clearly don't know what your talking about. There is no doubt CB isn't perfect, but if you aren't making good money with CB products it's time to stop blaming them and start blaming yourself.

Of course, i don't make good money with CB just because i hardly promote their products, every networks has some kind of tracking issue, but in case of CB, its their payment processing system which have many issues, they do reject many credit cards. CPA offers are way better.

You actually won't know if you track sales with adwords because they have tracking issues for sure. If someone clicks your ad and doesn't buy but clicks another affiliates ad and does buy, you will show a conversion with adwords.

    That conversion is inaccurate.

I am talking about pixel tracking, this pixel gets fired on thanks you page (or whatever page comes after the payment). This way you will get exact no of "completed sales" done from your affiliate link.

Yeah...that's what I'm talking about as well.

They click on your ad and then through whatever means buy from a different affiliate link - you will still show a conversion. So you will know what keyword triggered the ultimate conversion but it didn't go to you.

During the run car on water phenom, it wasn't unheard for affiliates to show close to double the conversions in google than they actually made.
