netpox - you can always be a pioneer and try things others haven't. As long as your social network has a membership fee (or optional membership fee) with a compelling reason to pay it, Clickbank could work from a technical perspective. The problem from a practical perspective is that most people who join social network sites join because of the social matrix, and its difficult to understand how an affiliate's link could tie into that. For example, people join Linked-in (a fee-based social network) usually because of a friend's or colleague's recommendation or invitation, but it's unlikely that a critical mass of existing members within a social network will have clickbank accounts or will want to jump through the hoops of creating them. But who knows? It's fun to think outside the box.
