is Chitika slowing down your site?

    Well,

Yesterday I updated my ads with some keywords. I should say i put many many keywords, may be say 30. After that my site started getting slow. I mean, I can it gets stuck with chitika and the rest of the site for some reason does not open. And when you scroll down, its kind of messy.

I removed the ads, everthing is fine.

Is there any limit on number of keywords? I faced the same problem even when I halved the number of keywords. Or is it that Chitika servers are running slow right now?

    Thanks for your input,

I don't have any problems. How many keywords do you have?

I've seen this issue too. It looks to me like the search time for the ad and an effort to find an image file to go with it.

Without the pic, this is straight CPC for a specific product. Sometimes, however, the pic is a no show. I can't imagine how they let an ad go live w/o a pic.

Perhaps serving the ad in an iframe would allow the full page render while waiting for the ad?

Yes, this could be the problem.
How ever, I removed some keywords, and now it is fine. I think there is probelm with some specific keywords.

I've had this problem also. I had a block under content, which stopped the page from loading. I've removed them for a while until it gets fixed.
