proxy doesn't change your ip address, what it do just make you looks like different person (different ip) from the rest of internet. But even a good proxy still have a trace, and with the right tool, you still can track who behind that proxy.

unfortunately, ip that shown on the internet was provided by your ISP, so you can't change it unless you change your ISP :)

Think of IP as a phone number for your cellphone but in reality it's your identity on the internet. Think of a proxy as a mask to make you look like someone else but in reality behind that mask it's you. Now both can be identified but if you want to be anonymous the easiest thing to do for someone like you who doesn't have a lot of knowledge on this matter is use a VPN and then from the VPN use a proxy and that will make it very difficult for anyone to figure out who you really are.

Yes, I am using the public network for internet access, Its changing frequently like an dynamic IP addresses. I think it is maintained with DHCP services from ISP.

"A proxy or proxy server is basically another computer which serves as a hub through which internet requests are processed. By connecting through one of these servers, your computer sends your requests to the proxy server which then processes your request and returns what you were wanting."

It doesn't change your IP address, when your using proxy, you are sharing IP address with other which is called the Proxy server. You can get
free proxies in the web which you can use. But make sure that the proxy you are using and going to use is reliable. One site that i know that has a good free proxy is www.proxy.seoqualityservices.com. I have tried their service and it's good to recommend because I'm satisfied.
