Is chacha.com Search Dead ?

I actually know one of the guides that worked at chacha. things have gone from bad to worse. now in order to search with a guide, you have to register beforehand. she wrote an article about it recently (see link). I guess the registration process was initiated after that article, because she did not mention having to register to use it. but I agree, why wait for someone to find google results when its faster to find them yourself?

It's not going to beat The Big 3 anytime soon.

 

i give it a year, 2 tops. it will never be anywhere near the big 3

 

I just read an article about the guy who made it. Pretty much he got alot of investors and blew through the money really fast with no real method of getting users

 

I thought the SE market has already been filled, I wouldn't give many chances to any new engine that believes they cam complete with the big players. You can't beat MSN, can't beat yahoo, and don't even think you can ever beat google...
