I signed on early when it came out. I lost interest and apparently many others I know have too, though yes its still around. Its still in Beta, and need to catch on more for it to survive, as the number of people searching has to be somewhat close to the searchers (which may be cha cha's flaw). It still a relatively good idea, though not for everyone.

I'd say it's a dead concept, although more original than most new sites I see. The revenue model just never made much sense to me, and it relies on a lot of people who probably don't have much internet experience finding a site like ChaCha, which seems unlikely to me.

Always seemed rather pointless to me.

It does seem rather pointless to go to a person who only then types in the search term and gives you the same results you would have gotten in the first place.

I too signed on early. I too felt it was a great concept. But lost interest. Just not enough users to keep the momentum of using them I feel.

I signed up and completely lost interest... you needed to do so many searches before you got paid and you'd only get a search like every 2 hours... and you'd have to be on the computer for straight 2 hours... so i gave up lol

Cha cha was cool, and still is. They should just remove that sign up to use a guide feature. It is rather annoying. And the guides can be a little stupid.

Well, I like the layout and everything, but they need to crawl maybe 100 billion more sites, because I search 2 very popular keywords and only got 2 results, so I think thats where its downfall will be.

Yea, I know it was never really a powerhouse... I never tried upping my rankings in Chacha... plusthe guides just use google search so its not like they are really that great..

ChaCha was real good when it first started. But, they moved the live guide search down on the page and not many people are using it. It isn't hardly worth the time to stay logged into it waiting to get a search.

SE are not that easy to build and maintain as normal sites.....Sometimes webmaster get blown away and feels that they can compete Google oneday but they forget that Google is Google. ;)
