My family and me will be moving to Canada in a few months time if all goes well. I already have 4 of my family members there, basically my brother and 3 sisters. Yeah I come from a big family. They say Canada is an awesome place to live and great for kids as the education system and social life is very good. Housing is pretty good and the only drawbacks they say is the cold long winter and the high tax rates. Most of them are in Toronto by the way. I look forward to reading more about Canada on such forums. It would really help.
Canada is an amazing place to live - but depends on which part of Canada you choose to live in. I live in Montreal, Quebec, which is in central Canada. Winters are a little harsh, but the city is just amazing. I live parts of the year in Toronto as well, but I feel Toronto is for people who love a fast-paced life. Western Canada is also great, especially Alberta (which is a booming city now) and Vancouver!
I am Canadian and I think Canada is a good country to live in. It is quite cold here, but anybody can adapt to any climate if they stay there long enough. We are fairly polite (I don't think as polite as other countries believe us to be though) If you become a Canadian citizen our health care is really good.
Excuse me? We are not arrogant in Ontario, I promise you that. At least, mostly. As with everywhere in the world, you'll stumble across the odd one. We apologize overly much to inanimate objects but we're pretty normal otherwise. If you're looking for remote beauty and peace, northern Ontario is the place to go. Warning: a whole lotta snow in winter. Lots. Tons. Canada has a huge immigrated population, so lots of diverse cultures, especially in some areas, like Vancouver and Toronto. Both of those cities are expensive but smaller places are cheaper for shopping and living. I have to agree with others on a couple of points: It is friggin' COLD here in the winter. Hot and humid in the summer, though. Also, avoid Quebec unless you speak fluent French-Canadian. The Quebecois are famous for their rudeness to people who do not speak French. It sure looks beautiful, though. As far as taxes go, yes, ours are high. Last I heard a few years ago, we are the second highest taxed country in the world, after Switzerland. I don't know if that still holds today. We have mostly free health care but the quality has slipped over recent years. Lots of wait time for the most part.
If People are like Canada then why its population lower then India. "Place to live" means people want to go there for living not for earning.
