Hello people, this post may be related to traffic but its also related to General Marketing.
I have just visited some site and they offer there very cheap traffic packages such as a visitor for only 0.001$ --->like 1$ per 1k visitors, they say they give online traffic stats, that the traffic is liagel no bots and so on....
And I thought to my self that I can buy this big amount of traffic for such a low cost and show CpM ads on my site which gives like 10$CPM and ill get 10 times more revenue than I spent for the traffic.

Well its Just my thoughts, tell me what you think...

The problem is that I lost this sites domain and Ill try to find it, its ad appeard here on DP.

There are lots of sites out there that offer this kind of traffic and it usually is VERY VERY VERY poor traffic. Expect to not make any money off of the traffic.

I wouldn't trust these sites, I'm guessing they probably do use bots to drive some of the traffic to your site. Also be careful, if you have adsense on your site and you get multiple clicks from the bots, your likely to get banned.

The best thing to do is to look for some reviews for the site to see what people think about it after they have bought some traffic. :)

CPM companies may ban your account if you're using that kind of traffic.

They prefer quality traffic opposed to fake and low quality.

Another technique they do is place your website on a 1x1px iframe on a site. You get the traffic registered on your statistical software, but they cant actually see your site.

I'd stay away from these kinds of sites. The traffic is not targeted and is a waste. In addition, the danger of a ban from ad networks makes it not worth the risk.

Is not about the quantity but the quality of the traffic. If the traffic is not targeted then it will not do you any good...

Here's my advice for what it's worth. If there was a way to make lots of money with cheap or free ads why isn't everybody in the world doing it? Why would anybody pay for premium spots for their ads if they could get the same or more sales for free or cheap? You already know the answer.

The only "free" promotional technique that i have ever seen work is SEO. There's a cost of months of work for that though.

Everybody has bitten on the "pie in the sky". It's always tempting. Most of the time the only one who makes any money with these deals is the provider of the service. Before buying from these people ask for eitehr a results guarantee or a referrals list of satisfied customers. If they can't come through (and most won't) then don't bother with them.

    I hope that this helps.

Me I tried Unique-Traffic.com ( the one in my sig ) it looked like bs traffic but it worked well for my entertainment driven sites & forums, a certain percentage does get hooked.. then you get word of mouf and then u got organic traffic. So for me it worked. My strategy was to buy 100,000 uniques and disperce them within 1 month using their daily traffic cap tool. I received about 3K uniques per day and when that traffic was exhausted, one month later, i was able to see that there were people still coming to the site then the site grew. So yes, worked for me. Prolly wont work for any site though.. my 2 cents

The traffic is probably very cheap for a reason..as in your hit counters will spin but you'll be lucky if a tiny amount of the traffic is interested in your business. It's possible, but unlikely.

Yeah, i dont think it's a good idea. look at it this way:

using unique-traffic as an example. $10 for 1000 unique targetted hits. What are the chances that this site knows 1000 different people, interested in your site (targetted) that are willing to visit your site for $0.01. Now also consider if someone was paying you $0.01 to visit a website, are you going to take much notice of the website your visiting?

It doesn't really add up to me, but it probably does work for a small handfull of people.

You will not succeed with that traffic. It's cheap but it is also waste of your money. No one of these 1000 ppl will be interested of your site. That could be also hits from sites like paid to surf - you will never know whats the source of traffic really is.

I have NEVER seen any of those sites produce any real results. Sometimes all it is a script that logs a new IP and User Agent and then loads your site.

So you think you have traffic but you really don't.

If they are so confident in their traffic, offer to do a rev-share with them and see what they say.

No! Thats a LOWSY idea. We sell the very cheap traffic, and by no means it the kind to build a business on. It IS a good supplement to a plan though.

I too was skeptical at first but I decided to try out 1000 visitors from the US (Webmaster targetted). The majority of the traffic was rubbish but, believe it or not, I got a couple of sales out of it. It's pretty good considering I only paid $4.50 for the traffic.

for such cheap price, nothing wrong in testing it. Such traffic can be good for arcade/jokes/celeb sites which appeal to most of the people
