Is buying/selling of Websites liable to Import Duties and Taxes

    My question is exactly what I have written in the Title. I live in india and If I'm buying a website from USA in around $10k. Does this transaction subject to any sort of import duties or taxes?

    I think no... you are buying a virtual product with no physical status..

    No. Import taxes only apply to tangible goods, not intangible ones.

    But I believe the software exports and imports are subjected to taxes.. even when they are intangible. By the way where are you situated? and are you sure that websites are free from taxes?
