Is buying safe on Digital Point? hmm, maybe not

    If you're uncomfortable with the validity of that type of bid it's easy enough to avoid those auctions. I do ;)

    its up to you on how you feel the site is worth. I usually ask the bidders to make the bid public unless tehy have good reason to not be listed as the buyer. alot of people like to keep theyre networks hidden.

    if the site doesnt sell for the bid thru PM then you know he was lying. some people might do that just to get it higher or have theyre friends bid on sites to boost it thats why you pay attention to the forum and itrader.

    members with high itrader and people who own companies like pc user and myself dont need to do that. so i would say just pay attention to the seller and his posts.

    Since this post was in response to mine, I hope you're not assuming i'm responsible for the neg rep (never left red rep in my whole time here)

    And yes, if someone claims a $800 PM bid, it could be a legit bid either given via PM because thats where discussions have been done, or because the bidder wants to remain private; or it could just as easy be a fake bid to boost prices.

    As reitterate time and time again in this thread - do your homework and use your common sense before bidding.
