Is buying parked or seo optimized domains on DP lucrative?

I've noticed parked domains generating 20-30 bucks a month going for 100$ or so and some generating 5-10 bucks a month going for 30$ or so. How long can you depend on a parked domain to adhere to it's current income? If I bought say 20 parked domains from the for sale section, would that pretty much secure passive income for a few years?

I'm just really confused why people create parked domains that generate money and then sell them? Have they done something to falsely pump traffic just before the sale so that the site will die a few months after being bought?

Both these questions also apply to one-article seo-optimized pages I see being sold.

Nope parking is being use when you want to utilize the domain fully.
If someone bid for the domain and the price is right for you then you can sell it and make instant profit as well

It's hard to say. Please do all the research necessary before you buy a domian based on parked revenue. Most are scams in one way or the other. I've bought a number of parked domains before, but only a couple actually look like they would perform as advertised (and they still need a way to go to prove that).

Parked domains either dry up in traffic down the line, or do not receive as many visitors as advertised. A few can get banned by either the parking company or the ad provider. Also, your revenue depends a lot on the integrity of the parking service, and the fluctuating PPC costs. It doens't mean a domain making $50/month now, will make $50 per month by next year.

And the changes can be very drastic.

that's what I though too. Just seemed unreasonable to sell a domain that's generating steady profit.
