Just wondering is buying a parked domain is same as a domain which has a live site and been pushed to your, in the eyes of search engines. I am looking to buy few domains to avoid sandbox so just concerned about this issue as I am buying few parked domains.

If it's an older domain you should have less problems with sandboxing. Parked domains are not as good to buy as live sites though because parked domains are penalized in Google due to being nothing more than a sales page. That is what I have heard at least and it makes sense to me.

I've bought parked domains and developed them, however, and they are ranking find in Google now. With one I had to wait a solid year before Google would touch it though. :(

Domain parked for too long are sometimes kind of "dead", it's can be very difficult to make them rank in SERPs when you "unpark" them.

Actually, I don't park a domain if I think I could use it later, and I don't buy parked domains either
