    What is good about it and what is the bad things ?

    no they have a large network of websites with different Page Ranks you will submit unique article there with your keyword / URL in it, the will review it and will approve your article if it fulfills their criteria.

    lol! some people will say anything to increase the post count.

    @OP - i did try BMR for couple of months as I try many SEO tools and services. for what i did, i didn't see any noticeable differences in ranking compared to posting on high PR article directories and web 2.0 pages. BMR does have a monthly subscription fee and you have to either write or outsource your articles which cost money. while i didn't have much of a problem with the article approval and 90%+ of my articles did get approved when i was trying their services mid last year, i read some comments here and there recently that lot of articles these days dont get approved and they do ban use accounts from time to time. there are allegations that BMR rejects articles and ban VA user account in an attempt to push their own article writing service but not sure how credible those allegations are as it is not hard to assume that people will get pissed off if their crappy articles are rejected and will try to put some blemishes on the service provider.

    reason i myself stopped using BMR is because i just dont find the value. how many PR article directories and web 2.0 sites out there as of today is beyond anyone's guess so i don't justify paying for a service on a monthly basis where i can submit to similar PR sites or even higher PR sites for free.

    BMR Has 2 Page Rank by the way. And they say that they can't interlink between their websites for not having any footprint.
    But anyway do you have any better alternative ? (You have tried yourself)

    Instead of BMR subscription I would rather go for promotion at my own...

    I can use any free tool for discovering and submitting such domains that accept my articles for backlinking.

    I am not saying BMR is bad or useless, it just I don't want to burn my money for something which I can do in a better way at my own.
