There are tons of hosts in the industry, I don't see bluehost being specially catered for Word Press Hosting, so for your answer, it is an absolute no. Any other hosting with LAMP can do a similar job.
they are on the wordpress main page, and the word press is included in your hosting? So, I was checking to see how many people use it. I use it and love it! The Word Press is fully functional unlike 1and1
I use Hostgator and am fully happy with it. I've never noticed any downtime and it's cheap and reliable. I dont think theres any reason one host is better than another for wordpress.
I am completely happy with Web Air. Support is quick, and they come highly recommended to me, and now I recommend them to others.
There are many hosts on wordpress main page, they seemed to be affiliate links, that means wordpress will take a cut if people sign up by clicking on that link. Of course I would not begrudge wordpress with such income as they provide us the fantastic Wordpress free of charge! For those interested in bluehost as their Wordpress, it would help wordpress to go directly to their main page, click and sign up for it.
Wordpress does not require something that only BH can provide as a host. BH can certainly host wordpress blogs, but so can tons of others.
Same for me here, I also never used bluehost before, do not intend to use it in the future too. I think I would take hostgator if I really need that much space.
Hm, are you talking about their one click install of WP? Can any BH user tell me, do they maintain Fantastico well, are the WP version usually up to date?
I have setup blogs on Bluehost and Hostgator, among many others, and really don't see any difference between the two from the installation or configuration stand point. And both CPanels are very easy to navigate.
Wordpress usually takes about a month to upgrade I am still on 2.3.2 Since signing up with BH their have been occasions when I have downtime but after contacting support , they fixed it in a matter of 20-30 minutes
I just like the fact that everything is built in with blue host, and the set up is much easier than other hosting companies to me. I tried it wil 1and1 and that was total crap, but it is nice to see there are a lot of other great wordpress hosting companies
I'm not using Bluehost, but I think it's a good host, ideal for Wordpress hosting. Even on Wordpress.org it's on the first place as recommended hosting.

There are a few hosts that specialise in Wordpress hosting. Truth is, however that most shared hosting plans can support Wordpress without issue. If you are new to Wordpress go with a host that provides a '1-click' installer like Fantastico to make it easy for you to get started.
