Hi, I'm having a survey on how many here made Blogging an occupation. If you are a Blogger that spends all his/her time in blogging. How many hours do you Blog? and how much do you earn from it? Thanks!
I currently blog about an hour a day and make about $100-$200 a month. It is not my main form of income.
I have a few sites, some of which are blogs. Running the sites as a whole is my main source of income, but not all necessarily blogging.
@Dean_Saliba, wow that's great. is it just for 1 blog? what is your primary source of revenue? @hmansfield, nice. do you regularly update those blogs?
One is 2 years old, it gets updated about 5-7 times a week. The other 2 are fairly new, but yes they get updated everyday.
same here.. I have a lot of websites and some of them are blogs but this is not my full time job- I've been working in an outsourcing company. I only spent 2 hours a day with my sites and earning $$$/month.
It's not easy to make a living just blogging. Successful bloggers that only have one blog and make a living are usually successful in some area of expertise first, and the blog is successful as a result of that. It's doubtful that you will just start any old blog with no real area of real expertise and make enough to support yourself...not impossible, but doubtful. That's the dream that every new blogger has and it's just not that often that it happens...it's 1/500,000 and that's being generous.
hello guys ,I am new to DP. can somebody give some tips how to earn through blogs and how they can be used as affiliate marketing?
I have a blog that I run that makes about $20 a month from blogging alone. One item that makes most of that is Google Adsense. A lot of people steer away from Adsense because it drives traffic away from your blog. However, if you are consistently adding fresh, original, quality content, they will return again and again. As far as affiliate marketing in blogs, I make quite a bit from that as well. Affiliate revenue per month is about $200. There are many ways to earn affiliate revenue with a blog. You could simply put a banner or two up. I get some good results from this. Another way is to do reviews. It's best to do reviews on products that you use, however, that's not always necessary. You could review to similar affiliate products including your link to both. This is by far my best approach. Also, if there is a product that you are using that you experience great results, you could blog about it and include your link. If you have any more questions on it, please don't wait to PM me. Hmm. For a common blog how much would you earn for 1000 unique visitor a month? what is the common ratio? just an rough estimation. Do bloggers have a quota for their blog? like this month it should earn this. like that? thanks!
Too many variables to answer that. What is the subject mater of your blog ? How popular are searches for the niche ? How much of that traffic is SERP's how much referrals and where are the referrals from, compared to the niche ? Is it targeted or just general traffic ? How is it monetized, and how much does it pay ? 1000 Unique visitors a month is not a lot of traffic, it's a good start, but you need 1000 a day to really start making a dent in the money on programs like adsense or affiliate marketing.
@hmansfield., Thanks for sharing your idea. @all, when di you notice that you earn much in your blog? and what do you suggest, concentrating in 1 blog or doing lots of blog?
I am blogging from last 3 years but most of the time I keep flipping them for profits . Earnings depend on work but in aprox I can say that I am making $700+/month .
