Is blogger this limited with widgets?

I'm trying to find a nice "subscribe via email" widget and similar others but google is just coming up with the same lame one that blogger provides, obviously wordpress has some from looking at other blogs. Can I hack something together or does it have to be specifically for blogger?

http://cinderella11pm.com/ I want something like on this site, clean and no input bar showing.

I found some nice twitter widgets but email/rss are no where to be found.

http://www.statsprofessor.blogspot.com/ <----- This is my blog btw. I still have a lot of work to do. Feel free to comment.

    Thanks

You can use the basic one blogger gives you. Sites like that one which you like are normally custom designed because when you go to blogger you will know their is a spot to upload your own widget. That is what many people do and that is how they get the widgets.

IF you want to get serious and have full control over your email list, you should try "listwire". Then you can send out broadcast mailings..and you can fully design your opt-in form. Hope that helps.

Their also are RSS + Email widgets I use at mine www.cameronpalte.com. Also you have to configure with feedburner.google.com first. Try using an aweber news letter.
