Is blog explosion ok to use with adsense

    Hi everyone,

I have a blog that I maintain just for fun more than anything else. However, it has adsense on it and I have also signed up to blog explosion (one of those 'you read my blog I'll read yours' type of sites).

Can anyone advise if this is ok with the big G? I noticed that plenty of the other bloggers have adsense on their blogs and are using blogexplosion.

    Thanks,

    John

I was with blogexplosion and it did not produce much traffic in my case. Not worth risking a ban for, I guess

Thanks for clearing that one up!

I've removed my blog from blog explosion - the traffic was rubbish anyway!

    Hello

I'm trying to get a handle on AdSense. Can you let me know why BlogExplosion is bad? Also, are sites like Digg, etc fall in the same group?

    Thanks!

Blog Explosion won't get you banned, I e-mailed Google about it a while back.

I've spent some time searching the old posts to try and get an answer. It would seem that it is another one of those grey areas.

I've decided that I will err on the side of caution and not use blogexplosion for anything with adsense on it.

However, I do have some credits to use up so I will start another blog (without any adsense) and use this new blog to promote and link to my other sites. I think this should be ok.

    Hello

Can you explain why it would be a 'grey' area? I just don't understand why it would be bad to promote your web site and generate traffic. Seems like everyone, including Google advertisers, would benefit?

    Thanks!

The problem as I understand it is that advertisers pay per impression. So if I use blog explosion it could be considered an autosurf program, it's all about the quality of the traffic rather than the volume.

I have noticed on blog explosion that there are plenty of blogs with adsense, of course that doesn't mean that its ok!

I'm not far off getting my first $100 so I don't want to take any chances with losing my account!

I thought advertisers paid per click.. not by impression. I was worried about having an article of mine submitted on Digg wouldn't fall in the same category as BlogExplosion.

    Thanks!

I think blog explosion can be categorized as an autosurf. and autosurf traffic are against TOS. linked to them before but poor results also

I just got an warning email from Google stating violations about auto-surfing. The only thing it could be referring to is blog explosion b/c that's where the bulk of my traffic came from with the exception of a few forum postings so it must not be allowed. No one was actually staying to read anyway so I'm just going to pull it.

Yes, I think blogexplosion would be like an autosurf in Google's view - it really is not worth the risk
