Is blog commenting helps in SEO?

I want to build backlink for my website. As backlinks plays the main role in increasing the page rank, ranking keywords, bringing traffic to a website, and many more such things. My question is whether i can participate in blog commenting to build the backlinks for my site.

What is have to know about blog commenting, before i need to start on blog commenting.

Yes blog commenting is the best one but if u want to start then first few things u have to do proper. first read full blog or article and that blog or article should have good quality content and then post comment according to the blog don't put too many links like spammer.

Yes Blog Comment helps a lot. But don't try to spam. The Blog should be On Focus. Read the blog carefully & comment accordingly. Do-follow blogs are helping more but also comment on the No-follow blogs.
