Is Blog Commenting for SEO a waste of time?

I think google gives much attention to blog comments as anybody can post comment .

 

My prediction is that Google will devalue links in blog comments because there are pretty standard footprints that indicate "this is a comment," as stated in the original post. There may still be some value to it from a traffic / communication / public-awareness perspective, but direct SEO benefits are likely to go away.

 

As i feel that google does not give so much advantage to the blog comments

 

I've had good success with blog comments on Dofollow blogs in my related niche in the past. I think too many people have had too much success with this tactic to say it's not effective.

It's not sexy but its damn effective!

 

DO Follow blogs would be good to post on, I don't know of any. I tried to make some of mine do follow but the plugins didn't work.

 

I've had good experience with blog commenting. I've found some good do follow blogs, and I also found that one blog I commented on created 200+ links to my site in one blast. That kicked ass! so I think it is worth the time, as long as you find good relevant links.

 

Is it helpful to comment in dofollow blogs whenever possible (each time they make a new post)? or is one comment link the same boost?

 

At times, it does help your site get some traffic and value.

It all depends how you are write comments on that blog. Do those comments really help others?? do those comments show your expertise in that particular field?? If yes then people will follow you through your website and your website will start attracting quite good visitors...

I have got a lot of backlinks from blog commenting recently and I don't think its a waste of time. If what you say is solid and you do it right, you can make some great contacts and connections with other bloggers as well, which is useful if you ever want to joint venture, partner or just work with them.

I wouldn't rely on it, but I would use it as one technique in an overall seo strategy.

 

of course not.. every strategies when promoting a website has worth... blog commenting especially those dofollow blogs are more in demand to webmasters.. they do not want nofollow blogs at all... so blog commenting is not just a waste of time...

 

I'm a little confused. Does commenting on dofollow blogs help because it adds to my backlinks? or is it to try to get more traffic? Or is it both? Not all industries are the same and the dofollow blogs in my industry are not really the type that are going to bring a lot of traffic my way. I am hoping that it will help with backlinks though.

 

Yeh!! it helps in BLs as well as in driving traffic. Dont worry just Aim good PR blogs and try to comments very relevant to the topic of course adding links back to your site

 

I am also not very sure about blog commenting because once I did thousands of comments on .blogspot.com but not got any suitable / good result for that.

Commenting is not only use for building link but the most important of that is with your comment you will get attantion from real people who also read comment which they hope can find some relevant tips, opinion, or other idea, and this make they will click on your link and if your blog or website is worth for them, they will save you in their list.

so dont worry about dofollow or nofollow ! blog commenting is worth to do !
