I got the following email from MSN: What is Bing? Put simply, Bing is a decision engine that offers consumers a way to make informed choices fast. From shopping and travel to healthcare, local and more, Bing delivers great results in a rich, well-organized experience to help consumers easily accomplish key tasks. What does Bing Mean for Me? Microsoft is committed to Search and Search advertising, and is dedicated to providing you the best value for your online advertising dollar. The innovative Bing search experience is designed to maximize opportunity to capture and retain new users, grow query share, and most importantly, help you make the most of your online advertising investment. In the coming months, a broad reaching awareness campaign spanning television, web, radio, and print will inform and entice consumers to try Bing. Now is a great time to take a look at your current search strategy and take advantage of the momentum that this campaign will drive. --- However I like to know as marketers how does it benefit us compared to live?
How about content network for bing/MSN, does anyone have experience if that's going to expand with bing?
For the first few days, low CPCs and decent views were pretty nice. Although I only got two sales out of the rush, I believe for some niches it was probably worth it. The hype is already beginning to settle down, though. MSN has some good advertising channels such as their content network and MSN Messenger, but their search network itself is just extremely under appreciated.
I don't think there will be any significant difference in traffic amount or quality from bing and from live.
I have been successful with MSN content but on a very limited basis. For search yes I get a much better quality conversions than any other se. Also I think searches should increase now that MS is advertising heavily on TV for bing.com
I think bing is pretty good. I am getting a lot of new referals from their search engine. That counts for me!
Its better if u use the advertising program (adcenter) now which will improve your ROI for sure... the reason is simple... people will come and check what is special in bing... so use this time to improve your traffic ...sales or anything All the best
Adcenter is a great place for PPC advertising, it has the best demographic compared to Google which is mostly tech savy people who don't buy your products It's great that they're doing TV ads because they're gonna get a bunch more traffic which is basically Google's only advantage over MSN at this point.
Not much changes in traffic until now, but I feel the competition for Ads is more fierce now. Hope the TV campaigns and other big campaigns will bring a lot more good traffic.
That's what I see - not much difference in traffic or anything. One question - has anyone had any good conversions with any other country apart from US. I tried Singapore, UK but didn't see much traffic at all.
hopefully the customer service is better than Adwords. The number of times i have failed to get a reply to a customer service email has gone beyond a joke
