I'm very new to the affiliate commission game, though a site I'm working on is starting to organically gain ground (very slowly) on some pretty entrenched competition due to some seo enhancements most of the other guys don't have. Still haven't had a real commission and I should point out that my site is a weblog featuring real world goods not overpriced clickbank pdfs. So given that, I'd need a ton of traffic to convert even the best deals to make any decent money. I think unlike the arbitrage game, I'd get repeat business over time, even if I didn't get everyone on an email list. (I'm also guessing the paid traffic guys who promise thousands of visitors of a period due to pop-ups or whatever wouldn't convert at all.) On the other hand, I'm a little disillusioned with the clickbank game. It seems to me that everyone's secret formula is to make an ebook like the one you are currently reading and sell it for big profits. Abitrage doesn't seem that much different, but perhaps more fickle given how fast rules change and everything else. Honestly, I'd prefer to have my main site organically grow, but are these other methods more likely to produce results now and into the future? Also, is adwords wasted on organic growth?
