Is being verified is required before issuing check from paypal? (Indian Webmasters)

Hi

I'm an indian webmaster and would like to know that is being verified is required before issuing myself a check of $150(which is their minimum limit for issuing a check in India)?

And since I'll get the check in dollars, how much time/cost a bank will take to convert it to INR.

No,u can request a cheque from unverified account also.Paypal cheque will take 2-5 days to clear.

 

The Paypal checks are issued in INR to the Indian branch of Citibank and you can encash it pretty much like a local check.

You do not need to be verified to receive a small amount of money but there would be a limit after that. They do not expect you to remain anonymous (unverified) for long. You will need to verify your account if you expect to use it for the long term.

Check can be cleared in 2 to 15 days .

if citibank is near to ur city then 2 -3 days

Let me tell you one true fact. Receiving cash in your bank account with the help of a paypal cheque is time consuming. It will certainly take 20 days or so. For this first transaction, you could go ahead with exchanging through a DP member who would give you INR through a bank transfer.

 

Yes, checks are so slow, once I waited a whole month and never issued check again. Now I look only for wire transfers.

 

20 days? I dont think so,all my cheques take hardly 5 days.But still i prefer XOOM.

 

they send you check in INR once you press the withdraw button... they will automatically convert the money with the current forex rate available... and they will deduct $5 from your amount... so you have to have $155 in ur account to withdraw as $5 is fees only...

they will send you check in INR of citibank and it will be off local clearance....

so dont worry and enjoy money...
