Hi guys, id really appreciate your input here.

Im having a website made and have a forum on there, bbpress has been used but im not sure on it. it just seems to be a bit boring.

I have had a forum before (unsuccessfully) and used .freeforums.com and altough i didnt really have any members it just seemed like a very good community forum, it had games you could play against eachover and profiles and private messaging and a live chatroom bit.

But bbpress doesnt seem to have anything and luks really dull. can you let me know what you guys think of it?

if you would like to see the forum pm me because there is a password at the minute as the website is still being made.

    Many thanks in advance Jamie

BBPress is not all that good. If you're looking to build a solid community, I recommend using SMF/PHPBB as a free software or vBulletin if you got the money.

If you are thinking about having an niche site that has a forum as one feature of the site you may want to look into wordpress with the simplepress plugin. Wordpress is easy to learn and great for creating a site with more options than just forum software offers.

If you're using WordPress, just about any forum software has some sort of integration with it.
