    Hi,

This is my first post in the forum. I learnt a bit about affiliate marketing, then joined azoogle. Started a campaign yesterday, but I only see impressions no clicks even though my bids are very high. I am running campaigns on msn and adwords.

There are many experts here, please help me.

    Regards
    Inishtyle.

Azoogle is fine for beginners. I'd say its actually a good place to start, if you are doing affiliate marketing.

As for your problems, I don't understand what you mean by seeing impressions and no clicks, but your bids are high? Where are you sending the traffic from these campaigns? Straight to affiliate landing pages, or to your own pages?

I have cloaked my affiliate link and then sending the traffic to the advertiser.

I have made campaigns on adwords and adcenter, I get good number of impressions. But somehow my ad copy is not getting clicks. I am bidding around $1.00 per click for a campaign.

I am not sure if I am doing the right way.

No way to tell what you're doing and if you're doing it right. I can guess from you paying $1 per click you're about to lose alot of money.

Although you are getting a good number of impressions, and bidding $1.00 (which is fairly high for starting out), you have to look to see where your ads are ranking. If your ads are getting a lot of impressions but no clicks, I'd suspect your Average Position is very high (like 8 or higher). This means, that on any given search results page, your ad is way down at the bottom, or may not even be on the first page.

You want to get your ad up higher in the positions. I've always preferred positions 4-6, because they are still on the first page, they are much cheaper than positions 1-3, and they are still above the fold on the page.

    Check this and report back.

Azoogle is my first affiliate, so my answer is yes.. but it never gave me good money from ppc.. maybe try it in your sites!

Besides i ve noticed that some ppc campaigns started successfully but after a few days the results got bad ... this has happened at least in three different adwords campaigns

    Thanks for the response,

You really pointed everything right. My average Position is very high (like 8 or higher).

So should I increase my bid even more?

    Thanks for helping me.

Try adding more long tail target keywords and improving your ad copy. I would not raise the cpc more than a 1.00 because its high enough as it is. I must say for a newbie you are bidding pretty high. Your budget maybe high, but if you don't improve your clickthru with your ad copy you will not be getting no clicks. Oh one last tip with that high bid, stay out the content network, it will eat you alive.

well i did registered for a Azoogle account some months ago and shockingly i was turned down.. later i registered a adsense account and i am doing great with it... If you want to know how things work and research keywords then azoogle might be a good start to learn things but if you want to make some serious money i always recommend adsense or YPN. :)

Just wanted to update all my friends who tried to help me.

I have got three leads till now for an advertiser. I am currently advertising on adcenter. The cost per click is around $1.15. I get conversion for every 10 clicks. I am not getting any profit yet. I have made around $32.00 till now since I started.

    Any more feedback.

    Thanks

Yes, I am getting around 10 a lead. If I dont bid higher I am not getting any clicks or impressions.

Anything that u suggest. I think u are very successful.

well then you need about an 11% conversion rate just to break even... and if your are converting at 11% then you want to be making a profit. Im not sure if you're using landing pages or running this straight to the advertiser, and without knowing your niche I can't really give very specific advice but generally things convert better with a bit of pre-selling (landing pages). This will also help your QS and allow you to have a better cpc.
I can say that you need to find ways to get cheaper clicks or get a much higher conversion %. If this mean better, more focused adcopy then do it. Split test two ads with identical keywords to see which gets more clicks. Find longer more specific keyword phrases (longtails) that are related to your product, but don't forget about the short tails!

My final advice would be not to follow the highest paying offers or the ones that there is a "buzz" about! Experiment and be creative, and also make a specific campaign to test the content network only. Many say it's a crappy resource but with the right adcopy filtered to the right sites, it can be a great money maker!
