Hi, My Adword capaign doesn't work any more since this minimum bid appear. 6 months ago i was bidding 0,08 for most of my keyword and get good ads ranking and 90-100 clicks a day from Google ads Today i'm bidding the minimum and more up to 0.13 and get only 4-10 clicks a day and a tenth of the impression. i never see my ads in Google since then and i even don't see competition ads anymore. one of my important key word are "vst instrument" and i got only 1 or 2 click a day from it now. Look like that the good days with Google Adword are gone. this minimum bid are only Google trick to double their profit, not for helping advertizer at all. By the way, i sold for 1000$+ in the first month i sold my own software without Google adword. using only download websites and forums. I got 1000 pages vue in one day this way without Google adword in the first week. (no spaming but target usefull informations) Some months latter i buyed Google ads because i got 100 visitor a day for only 2$ i didn't tracked ads links since i said to myself that i had to sold only one software a month from Google adword to pay the monthly bill. But now, it's cost me higher and higher and i sold less and less. If Google doesn't change these new feature, i will have to look for other avenue. Just for info, my VST Software www.softplug.com
As more and more people use it - it becomes more expensive. You will just have to be more strategic with it.
More people, i'm not sure. just try the key word for me (we may have different results) to see if you see commercial link. : vst instrument or vst instruments some months ago, these words had a minimum of 10 to 15 commercial links, but now i see nothing
I am still having very good results for my niche Budget £100.00 / day 9,084 clicks 23,210 impressions CTR 39.1% AVG click £0.01 Total cost £100.00 If you look hard enough you can find a niche. This could mean a change in direction for your business. Its taken me over 3 years to find my niche and then in one instant when experimenting I have exploited my niche. Keep looking you can find your own niche
Good to hear that. Are you targeting few keywords or a lot of keywords? Seems that you Budget is quite high. Will that impact the result?
Thounds of people are making millions a year with adwords so I wouldn say they are usless. These kind of thread title kinda bugs me a lil, its so negative. I suggest you pickup Perry Marshall book to learn how to do it right.
Google has changed their rules, it seems now that they count "landing page" for quality score also. Hmm have to look more into this.
I guess the more advertisers that us Adwords the harder it will become to get good quailty keywords which are at a good price. I am now bidding $5 CPM and I can't seem to get no impressions. I don't know what is wrong. I have had the campaign up for about 2 weeks where I started it at $1 CPM. Because I was not receiving now impressions I then increased it and now it is at $5 CPM and it has been there for about 1 hour. I know that it takes about 3 hours for the stats to update, but either my ads are now showing and not getting any clicks or they are not showing up on the sites yet because something is wrong or I am bidding two low. But I thought that $5 would be high enough. I am already bidding alot higher than what I can make a profit from. I can't go any higher. Is there something wrong. I know that I am not getting any clicks from my own stats that I have made. Also, when clicks come from these adwords sites how does the referral look in your stats. Would it be shown as adwords or the actually site that you have advertised on?
It can and often does take 2, 3, 4 even 5 days before CPM ads are reviewed by G and go live. Every CPM ad is reviewed. CPM ads rarely (never?) go live as fast as CPC ads. After you change a bid if you're not getting any action within 24 hours that's a sign your bid is too low. I recently launched a campaign where I had to bid $18 to start getting impressions but my actual CPM was around $8. It's a funky system that can take some getting used to but after you do...
$16 dollars is a lot of money. Even with $8, I would be loosing alot of money as far as I know. But I am not 100% sure of this as I have only done a very quick working out so I have lowered it a little just to make sure I don't make a loss. I have alot of work on and when I get more time I will start looking more into my earnings and statistics. Hopefully the mount of work that I have to do will decrease dramatically next month and I will have more time to start working with Adwords and my sites very details statistics.
I don't use CPM, CTR is too low $100 per day isn't high if you're an online store- one of my clients spends about $120 a day, and generally speaking we bring in 5 to 6 times as much revenue.
I want to spend thousands on Adwords. The more money I spend the better. I don't care if I spend over $100,000 or more a month. But if I spend this then I want to make sure that I make a profit and if I have to bid to high on CPM then I know that I will not make much, if any profit. Advertising is an investment, you expect to get something back from it. I would get branding, but I would prefer to get branding and a profit.
Is there any software helps to calculate ROI and track how we doing. Something a little more than what is provided by google.
I have not got a clue. I am attempting in building my own little piece of software for my own sites. I am not quite sure how you see the sites that were referred to your from Adwords yet though. Does anybody know. Would you just see the site as the referral or would you actually see it mentioned as Adwords or something like that. What does the referral links look like in your awstats or other software from Adwords traffic.
With absolutely no luck from Google SERPs, I am fully depending on Google Adwords to bring visitors to my main site. How can I call it useless?? No way. But, you must understand how to succeed with Adwords, and it is the difficult part
So far I have not had any luck with Adwords, but I will not be giving up at all. I will be sticking at it for a long time. That's one thing that I am best at is not giving up. If I had given up on everything that didn't work out for the first few months then I wouldn't be where I am today. The only way you can get good at something and make it work is to stick with it. That is something that I am good at is to not give up in anything that I try that I think may work. If I know something doesn't work like autosurfs, gpt read sites, etc. I will give up straight away, but something like earning from sites and getting traffic using Adwords and other good methods, I will not give up until I have no choice.
I thought that I would reply to just say that I am now bidding $15 CPM, which is miles over my budget and I am still not getting any impressions. I just hope I don't have to go much higher. Anyway, can't stay as I have to go to the bank to get my house re-mortgaged just so that I can fund my adsense account. lol Hopefully that will cover the costs unless I have to raise the bid again to something like $100,000 CPM. lol I was joking about the re-mortgage by the way, but seriously when I get some time I will have to take a close look at my sites statistics and it's earnings potential so that I can see how much higher I am bidding over my budget. Right no I have had no clicks or impressions so I don't know how much the average cost is going to be once I start getting the traffic. That is why I am bidding over my budget at the moment. Hopefully it will not average over $10.00 CPM or I will have to cut it back again.
