Is Avatar a Ripoff....

I heard all the hypes about Avatar and this and that so I go see for myself...

After finishing the movie.. it reminds me pretty much of Pocahontas but instead of fighting for land now they fight for money...

Those Avatars and their lifestyles are very Indian like and yes they fight just like one..

Okay.. and what's new?? hmm let's see.. oh yeah!! a horse with six legs.. wow.. and all the birds looks like dinosaurs.. What a total ripoff..

You should learn to appreciate a good film.

And put question marks on your questions.

Avatar is an amazing movie, one of the best movies I have ever seen. The special effects are awesome. Can't wait until it's released on DVD - I'll be picking a copy up for sure! :)

i think you should go to the 3D edition, and why you think it is ripoff, just because you can not see something impress you?

Exactly. I can't wait to pickup the Bluray.

And nhatle84, seeing as Avatar is the highest grossing film ever, and I have heard nothing but positive reviews as well as personally finding the movie amazing myself - it's clear that it's your poor taste.

you might as well say they ripped off from Halo with all the marines/mercenaries and big ships, and by the way the natives are called Na'vi

I have watched only one hour so far. Did not impress me at all.

Though a nice story line but nothing new. Have to watch the last one hour to give my final thinking on the film.

    Kind regards,
    Yogesh

I disagree, the movie earned so much because he introduces cutting edge technology in CGI besides, people loved Titanic and T2 which gave him major credits and they draws alot attention due to big bucks spending in advertisements..

I agree their graphic is sexy but storyline suck ass.. i can't believe it.. human like spiritual aliens.. it just can't get any worst than that X_X

The story isn't very solid. It's your typical save this and that movie but how they made the movie is something else...

The story is obviously a lot deeper than you understand. The spirituality, the nature, the oneness, the harmony - the story of it all is fascinating, especially when you look at our polluted, democratic society.

Everyone is entitled to there own opinion but for me avatar has to be one of the best films ever.

It has action, romance and comedy. Infact it has something to please everyone.

The special effects and stunts are just awesome.

If you don't like it fair enough but each to there own right?

    I thought it was awesome.
