Is Auto Blog Backlink Commenting A Successful Strategy?

I second that. Quality 100 quality comments are worth than 1000 spam comments

 

We have been on both sides of this matter. Have not seen it worth doing vs. possible risks. As an Owner of many websites, even though we turn off comments on posts, WP has thousands of pending comments (spam) waiting each maintenance go-around. In fact, we developed a php script to delete 300 at a click, just to clean them out. And, thinking to raise that number to more like 900, the limit has more to do with confidence that the script or website has not gone bye-bye. We use to review the comments for legit stuff... not worth it. Better to purge it and free up resources for the web site. Probably most website Owners handle the huge volume of spam comments similarly. Good Luck and Have Fun!

 

Just about every site has implemented blog commenting spam software and there is NO DOUBT that you will be labeled a comment spammer if you use auto commenting software. I see it on my sites all the time and mark it as spam.

A better strategy is to comment on relevant comment luv sites which not only give you a link back to your site but to an article on your site. They also often accept keywords of your choosing!
