as long as its on the up and up, why not? its not mandatory though.
if you do a deal with someone they don't have to leave any iTrader.

Make sure you are not using itrader and rep as a form of currency. That is not allowed.

If someone offers to give you a free review of your product/service in exchange for itrader, then that is not permitted. As Shannon said, you cannot use itrader as a currency.

Offering itrader for something you have not bought or sold is inappropriate and against our rules....the key example is free reviews. Do NOT give itrader for a freebie item, even if it is in the BST forums. The reason?? You didn't buy anything, therefore you are not in a position to say that the seller is honest or reputable. They just gave you a free copy of their crappy ebook, and they want you say something nice so that they can sell more copies of said crappy ebook.

Many people do not care to endorse a good deal with an itrader... simply because they are ignorant about it or are too busy to make an effort for it! :(
There is no harm in requesting/reminding for the same... once, particularly after a very good deal! :)

Thanks a ton guys for your replies... Now lets me get straight to the point...

DP user Refresher who get banned due to asking for itrader from his client...

    * He request itrader through visitor's message for a valid deal ( valid = more than $5 deal, not a review copy or something)

I really respect smryl's words but I'm still confused why a mod banned him.. and the ban is over 6 months..
And as Deluxdon said that its not against the rule then why he is banned..

This is the only reason mentioned in the infraction email he received..

According to me, other users and even mods a user can ask itrader for a valid deal but still he is banned...

Can any mod please explain this situation?

    Thanks guys :)

I like to deal with iTrader once I'm comfortable that a deal is finished and both the other person and I are satisfied. I usually end up waiting a day or so afterwards, it makes me feel more comfortable having that little sort of "kill switch" if something suddenly does a 180.

I make a point of leaving no iTrader when people make it out to be more important than whatever the deal was. If someone says something like "leave me positive iTrader please" or otherwise makes me feel obligated or guilt tripped into doing it, I don't like that. If someone makes it out like they're just trying to remind me that iTrader exists, it makes me feel like I still have a choice, and I like having a choice.

I doubt Moderators will discuss why a member was banned.

Why didn’t your friend ask via PM?

    Thanks Brian

How can a ban member send PM??

Anyways I mean to ask them if its not against the rule (asking for itraders) then why he is banned (moderator give "asking for itrader" as a reason of banning?

A humble reply from any moderator will be much appreciated... :)

Why a member is banned is none of your business.
