Someone suggested submitting to them because the articles are often scrapped and published on other websites, but their links are nofollow. Should I submit to them anyway? Thanks
It is, however, value eventhough the content on other is no follow but you get traffic and expose your site to others as well.
It will no doubt get scrapped by plugins like WPRobot, I know this as I scrape for a number of blogs from ArticleBase. But... Most people who use it will no doubt forget to tell WPRobot to remove the links in the footer of the article and will then result in backlinks for you.
Yes, it still gets acknowledged at least by google even if not the full benefit of a do-follow, but as mentioned above articlesbase is recognised as a quality source which other siets will syndicate and take your articles from so you will end up on other blogs / article directories. I still would use EZA as a primary source though, but each to their own and some people LOVE base
I have a bad experience with articlebase because many of my articles are stolen and republish on other blogs and 2/3 times people copied my article, post on their blog and change my author bio links. So I personally not using it now and even their links are nofollow.
I don't use articlebase for the only reason that the links are nofollow. Many of us that use article are submiting this to article directory to build backlinks for their blog/website.I don't like to lose time whit this tipe of directory.
Articles are very popular and are widely used by people as a source of information. Web crawler search engines may also have better chances of finding your website if it is listed with any of these article directories. Most of the directories charge a fee for listing your website. Some sites such as Yahoo offer free submission as well.
Yes it is... because I think that everything done, has a value, just takes a little time. Article abse has it's advantages. Along with article base, you could a press release also.
In my opinion I find Article Base and the quality of the content being accepted on their site has diminished greatly. Most articles within categories of interest for me do not even contain proper grammar or sentences. I had noted quite a few times there would be a hyper linked piece of text in the article that had absolutely nothing to do with the content of the article. I think it is only a matter of time before you see Article Base devalued.
Articlesbase do use "nofollow" links, but if the page is syndicated using the HTML in the "Syndicate this Article" box, the links in the About the Author box will not have the "nofollow" when the page is syndicated. However, frequently when my articles are syndicated, the links are have been removed anyway. I contacted articlesbase about this, and they will review your account and remove the "nofollow" tag if you have published 10 articles of a non-spam nature. They discourage articles full of self-promoting links, which is fair enough as it helps to maintain the reputation of their site.
Although articlebase is a nofollow, but you can still get traffic from it. Just submit your article and bookmark your article links.
Yes, I publish on articlebase but I too also find that the articles bio are removed, this is normally resolved by typeing the tiutle in google and if you find any article with bio missing "add a comment", that they have infringed the use poliucy of articlebase and if they do not publish your bio remove the article 9 times out of ten they MANUALLY add the bio.
