Finally checked mine for day. I am down by over half of last week at same time. Visitors are up to sites, but revenue is still bad. So I am not seeing any change on my end yet.

I am really believing the theory that payouts have been reduced, but I will wait to see tomorrow and next day since those are my biggest days normally. Plus this is a holiday and I forgot about that. Most of my visitors go on my sites from M-F so will see.

Revenue has been down for me for about a week. I've started to threads on it, and it doesn't add up. I'm getting more traffic than ever and my page impressions are the same.

I just emailed Google today about it. Oh wait, this is a thread about yahoo ads. Well, I'm having the same problem with adsense.

I think their reporting lags about 10-15 hours. I consistently see huge gains in the morning through noon. Then it just stops for the rest of the day/evening. Even though the bulk of my traffic is from 2pm - 10pm... I'm convinced the results are lagging, that or they are just stopping payment once you hit a mark for the day.

In any case, I find that YPN earnings are completely unpredictable. Huge one day, nothing the next day. With Google, you get the slow but reliable horse. Earning about the same every day. Not great, but they are always there.

First, my personal take on all of this is s*it happens - I commend you Sarah for commenting about it here - maybe also consider doing so on some sort of YPN blog - is there such a thing - I know of the Yahoo Search Engine Blog, but (I don't follow it that close) not a YPN specific one.

For those that haven't checked, login to your YPN account and you'll see an announcement on the main page - great, responsive action Sarah/YPN.

While I realize many people login daily/hourly (!) to check their earnings, maybe consider setting up an optional opt-in Email list for those people who would like Email's about "happenings". I've heard of this great Email list web site call YahooGroups! ;-)

Comunication is key ... and is one way you have (and can continue to) distinguish yourself from the other contextual advertising folks ...

alek, while I agree with your post, remember something: you, as a publisher, are a bottom dwelling, worthless peice of scum.

Advertisers are king. Advertising companies are queen. We are the servants who get spat upon and used.

While your remarks are valid, I'm pretty sure they'll tell YOU what they're going to do.:)

HAHA, That's quite the truth it seems.. Wait.. Isn't it *OUR* sites that need to exist in order for the internet to be cool? You all have cool sites right? Cool. I'm just as lost as everyone else. Wake me up when my earnings are back

I would not entirely agree with that nt99. The nice thing about competition is that if I was dis-satisified with YPN, I can (and have for lots of my pages) switch to the big "G" ... and MSN's offerings is coming soon.

So sure, the advertisers are king and pay the bills directly ... but there is a a bit of reliance on us schmuck publishers (and rest assured I'm a very small fry) ... but if the big "G" (or others) allienate enough publishers, that will eventually hit the bottom line.

YahooSarah: One of my biggest complaints (mentioned several times here in DP) is your RON ads. You know the ones I'm talking about - mortgage, Vontage, etc. These show up too often due to inability to assess relevence (which I know you are working on) ... but even so, give me an OPTION to either turn these off or display my own PSA ad.

Note I said option - I know some people like these for the extra click-thru/$$$, but some of us just don't like "crap" showing up on our web pages ... and no offense to your advertisers, but we all know these are fillers.

Sarah, you asked to know how we are doing. Today my money is still down as low as when the problem first started. It's down easily 60%.

FYI FWIW: I just CALLED the YPN folks and after being on hold for about 45 seconds (!), I talked to someone named David who looked into things. He said while there were issues this weekend, they did not believe they were still a concern today.

So that's at least a statement from them a few minutes ago - I'd be curious what YahooSarah is seeing on her end since the two previous posters seem to feel the problem is still there. I don't think my revenue/traffic numbers are high enough to form a solid conclusion, but does seem to be lagging a bit so far today.

BTW, I asked if David knew someone named Sarah, but he did not ... (EDIT ADD to correct possible mis-perception) but it's a big company and based on previous discussions, I'm sure that Sarah works for YPN.

Thanks for the Info. It could be nothing more than advertisers not paying as much, but when I do a lookup on my keywords the advertisers bids are the same give or take a slight amount from last week. My traffic remains the same and even slightly higher so it is hard to say what the issue is going to be come tomorrow when I can actually see my stats.

As for Sarah the staff at DP I believe from a previous thread had allready verified her. Also given the size of Yahoo! it is not a surprise that David does not know Sarah since they may work in two different departments and god only knows how many people work in those departments.

Roger all that - yea, I "know/believe" Sarah works for YPN, so I didn't mean to give the impression that I wasn't sure ... was more just passing on a "they happened not to know you" comment.

i've never seen a vonage ad on ypn... but if it pays well, send me some :)

alek, do you have adsense? have you seen those work from home mfa garbage ads? how about get rich quick schemes? much worse than vonage.

remember that you can always stop the vonage ads from appearing, by putting 'em in the url filter.
