Yes,many people are making money from domain business.

Buy domains when it is cheap, and sale it when the price is up.If you have money, you can invest it to LLLLL.com domains.

I wouldn't say that selling domains are 'easy'. If that were the case I wouldn't be here asking for advice. I'd say that it probably used to be easy a few years ago or if you have a killer name. I think last Oct the domain 'PassiveIncome.com' was on auction at Sedo and the top bid was 1 Million. I would have loved to have bought that one a few years ago. But I believe the key is trying to get buyers interested in the domains you have. And apparently, I haven't cracked that code yet.

Really, I joined about a month ago and I don't recall anything about the $1.99 domain, maybe I didn't see it in the email?

As for the auctions, well I have listed a number of domains there in this time and none have been sold. I think forum auctions and Sedo have been the best places to sell for me.

We have sold 4 or 5 on eBay for $24.99, but eBay is doing some stupid stuff with digital listings and domain sales may be effected like eBooks... we are dropping them as on outlet. Sold 1 on tdnam (godaddy) for $100 and 1 on sedo for $220... thing was we only had some of our portfolio listed and we had done NOTHING for a few months before getting the offers.

Now, we are actively getting out 200+ portfolio on those sites faithfully. However, we still are not to the point of marketing them properly (categories, sales pitch, including actual website, etc.).

    Good Luck!

I usually sell my "surplus" domains on ebay... Usually if I am too lazy to develop it ;)
