i make a profit of between 2.5k-6k per month, usually on the upper end of that range, but as stated in posts before this one, traffic is usually down a lot during the summer, and cpm seems to go down too. it's starting to pick up again. i dont really need a job since i'm about to start college and i am fortunate enough for my family can afford it, but its nice to be able to pay for stuff without begging the family for money, and to save most of it for later
I'm making a nice comfortable living from adsense alone, but I do other things online as well... Planning on retiring within 3 years thanks to the big "G". Life is good..
it would be nice to make a living off just adsense.. someday I will seems it will be a long way.. I will make it one of my goals .. wish me luck guys
When you are at a point where you make enough to support a living off Adsense, things like "random bannings" do not occur. You will get canned if you try to mess with the system, though. But then it's the equivalent of trying to steal a copy machine at your employer's office, which would get you kicked out of that job as well.
Maybe a better question would be "What percent is Adsense compared to your total household income?" Right now, looks like between 1% or 2%. Hope to reach 10% by the end of the year.
It is possible to earn enough money with adsense to quit day job but I don't think it's clever because it is so easy to get banned. So what than once they ban you? I'm not making enough money to quit my job but even if I make enough I'm not sure I would do that.
Google sure has provided food on tables, cars and even built homes for some hardcore cases. In my case, I get an acceptable amount of income to have a very comfortable college life. Now that I'm used to it, I don't know what I'll do without my monthly checks.
I've started adsense in my site 6 months before. I think if I have 4-5 sites with the same traffic, can make a living with adsense.
I see your point, but I wasn't just refering to the user breaking rules to get randomly banned, there's things like click bombing and people stealing your pub-xxx, etc. that you have to worry about. What you have to remember here is that if you open more websites, you'll have less time to spend on the site you currently have and so the content will get worse and your numbers will drop.
It hardly ever happens, and Google would probably realise if you caught it first and emailed them, but it can happen.
