    Thanks.

I was courious about what exactly needs to be done to become a reseller of Hostgator.

    Do I need a special blog/site?

How exactly will people sign up?

How will they get in touch with me if they need assistance?

    etc.

    Details like that.

    So can anyone help? Thanks.

Its best to consolidate all your questions in 1 thread rather than spreading in other threads, it will help you better :)

To answer your question, yes you need a site.

If you have a billing system in place, for eg. WHMCS, with Paypal as your payment processor, your customers will fill in an order form in the hosting plan they are interested, make payment to you, and account is created for them automatically (depending on how you had setup). If you do not have a billing system, the work involve includes tracking payment, creating an account, manual tracking every month to check if your customers have paid up their bill, etc.

They can either email you for assistance, or submit a ticket request if you have WHMCS or billing system in place.

    I can help,
I had a reseller with them some time ago, but only used for own sites.

    Do I need a special blog/site?
yes you need a site where people can sign up

How exactly will people sign up?
hostgator gives a copy of whmcs/whmautopilot which you can set up easily and use it. people will sign up using the script and it can be fully automated.

How will they get in touch with me if they need assistance?
you can provide your email/phone contact on your site, you can install one of the ticket systems (available via fantastico) or you can buy some hosted livechat solution.
