Google has started targeting this sort of content. Essentially, it's plagiarism, even if the content isn't identical.

This is probably not a viable strategy any longer. I'd stay away from this if I were you. Just focus on creating good quality and original content.

Spun content just fills up the internet with rehashed info that's already on there. Write original stuff!

I think yes, because there are still websites that has spun content are ranking well in the search engine results page and this is to prove that 25-30% on the web is duplicate according to Google.

Spun content or article is horrible to read and does not make any sense or meaning. Ultimately the information is not clearly described.

Those that were generated by softwares yes I agree. There are spun content thought that are manually done by humans which is readable at least to me. Still, I don't think it's a good idea.

Readable, perhaps. But it's still basically plagiarism.

considering the "fact" that "content is king" i don't think that spun content on a site will do any good. However, these contents can be used on tier2's for linkbuilding purposes.

    Hi,

I presently hold dozens of first page rankings using spun content, this content does not read particularly well either.

I would only personally use this content on private blog networks or churn and burn sites, not money websites where you wants rankings with longevity involved... Google will eventually catch onto the poorly written content and rankings will be effected.

Spun content is seen these days as a no-no and can get you punished by Google, is it really worth the risk? If you get caught your website can get slapped and no longer rank!
