is an average ctr of 11% an accomplishment?

    hows it going everyone,

on a certain campaign i'm managing for a friend
of mine I'm average a CTR campaign wide of
    over 11%.

should i be jumping up and down in joy or what?
because i've heard some advertisers are making
boat loads of cash with CTR of over 40%

whats your average CTR per campaign and
have you ever broke say 50% CTR, that'd be
    absolutely insane!

    your thoughts?

I believe you're refering to to Adsense, not Adwords. But yes, I think 11% is great - I get less than 1% CTR, but that's mainly because I own primarily forums.

    i was referring to adwords, I don't
have a lot of experience with adsense...

should probably do some research on it..
    lol..

I don't think that 40% CTR on search network is possible. Maybe for a few clicks but not for big campains... Good job on the 11%! What's your market?

    Web2074,

    i'm actually getting over 6% on a
whole bunch of campaigns that target
    very different markets across the
    board.

i didn't realize i was doing so well,
so i think i'm going to capitalize on it
and see if i can write a short report.

    think it's a good idea?

More you increase your CTR less you pay for your clicks... Yes, it's a good idea...

Depends on what market you are targeting but 11% is excellent, well done.

11% is good, but of course it depends on how competitive your keywords are and how targeted your ad copy is. It is much easier to get a high CTR for 'blue speckled widget for left handed people' than 'generic widget', if what you're selling is generic widgets.

11% is very good. Though I'm more worried about conversion than CTR.

CTR is relative, 11% may be ok or it may not. It's not really a number you can use to measure anything of any importance. I have an ad group with 80%CTR that gets it's a88 handed to it by campaigns with a lower CTR.

The only CTR metric that is important is your own. Set your benchmark then work on constantly improving it.

a CTR of 11% is an accomplishment if you have decided that a CTR of 11% is what is going to make you successful. Other than that it doesn't mean anything. In otherwords, are you directly providing positive ROI with the adwords campaign for your friend?

Echoing what everyone else has said, 11% really is a great accomplishmant - I'd be happy if I could get half of that.

Yeah it's actually great for me on that particular niche because the CTR is 11%, the sub rate is 20-30% and the sales rate on the upsell after the sub page is 3%

    so works very well

Yes, a 11% CTR is great! I have an ad group that has a 9% CTR, but a low conversion. All about the conversion my brother.

11% is normal for some niches, but but high for most. I mean it is relative to the market. And of course, good or not depends on conversion.
