Sure it's enough, but it depends on how well you write your presell. I presume you won't be using the free version of wordpress either as it doesn't allow advertising.
I think the typical type of landing page converts best. Wordpress isn't usually 1 column, has too made side distractions and ways for a user to exit the page. You need to grab their attention and keep them hooked on the sales pitch, forcing them to read on, then click onto the sales page.
There are some persons here in this forum who said they have had there wordpress blogs deleted for using affiliate links, so be careful with wordpress!
Too many factors to even get in to. It depends on your niche, your target market, the copy on the blog, the copy on the site you're driving traffic to, how you're getting traffic, ect. Can wordpress work? Yeah. Will it work? You'll have to try it.
