Hi I was wondering if anyone in here is an Amazon affiliate and if you are happy with them. I know that the commission percentage is pretty low - but all in all - is that the only negative part of Amazon?
I think with Amazon, and most shopping affiliate programs, you have to work at a high volume to make a decent amount of money. I'm just now getting comfortable working with them and have realized that I really should have a small network of quality sites in various niches to make a good amount of money with Amazon.
Amazon is definitely worth it if you know how to go about it. A junk blog with links to products won't work. A well thought out niche site with good content and links to products (or even better, an integrated cart) will do well. Commission seems low but if you do well it increases, and for me the range of products and great API make it better than any other affiliate network.
Where Amazon has a big advantage over other affiliate programs is that everyone`s heard of them. And, in general, they have a good reputation.
On high traffic sites, Amazon is a great option. A few clicks, ordered & shipped products, and your revenue increases quickly.
