Is all duplicate content bad?

I have a unique articles site about closet organizing but decided to start adding some of my affiliate product ads on the site which include a picture and review of the item to be be sold. All of the review data is needless to say, not unique. If I go to copyscape, this page of my site is full of duplicate content. Can this hurt my rankings for my site? If it will, I'll remove all of the reviews although, they give the page a nicer look. Let me know. Also if you want to see what I'm talking about, the link is in my sig and the page I'm referring to is the only page on the nav bar currently.

    Thanks!

Your page must be identical to the other page to get panelized, meaning you copy the HTML from the original site and paste it on to yours.

You will not suffer from SEO but if I were you I'd always point back to the original site as a source, I wouldn't want people to copy my work without giving credit to me, so I don't do it to others.

ok. Im not actually copying someone else's content. I'm using the reviews from the affiliate product ad from Commission Junction. They're supposed to be copied so that you can sell their products for them and collect a commission.

Why don't you change some of words with their synonyms? if it is necessary to use copied contents in your site under authors permission.

Too much duplicate content is bad. If you want to copy a large amount of text (say 1-2 paragraph) from another site, use "Quote" and give a link back to the original source. Quotes aren't considered as duplicate.

For product pages/reviews I guess, you can keep the original text but do some minor modification. Usually from my experience if a content is at least 30-40% unique, it will be indexed by google and you won't be penalized.
