Hi, I have been checking the rankings of a few sites today from time to time just out of curiosity and have noticed that most of the times trying I can't get alexa up at all. It is just bringing up an error page saying the site can't be found.
Yup, it's been on and off all day for me too. I have an Alexa toolbar as part of a SeOpen FF extension and that works fine, but if I check out the traffic details I've been getting a similar message all day. Cheers, Paz.
Alexa blocks my ISP's entire range (TPG australia).. I have to use a proxy to get to it. Very annoying.
I have had this problem also with Alexa blocking my IP - DMOZ and Overture have been known to do the same thing as well. In my case, it's from running too many queries in too short of a time frame though
Not only they block IPs, they do not count hits from banned IPs. However, we do not have static IPs in Sri Lanka. I can see alexa reconnecting after disconnection the net connection.
The alexa images are always down. It might be becasue they are changing servers/hosts? My assumption, don't take rely on it lol.
