Is Alexa an Accurate measure for site traffic? Vote Now!

Tools like iwebtool help determine that..

 

I think alexa is not a fair measure for a site traffic....

 

I am also not sure about it.

 

iwebtool, or anyone else, have no way of knowing anything about internal PR. these tools simply post a number equally as meaningless and inaccurate as PR or Alexa rank it's self.

People like PR.. Who am i to refuse their money if they want to pay me for it?

 

If not using toolbar, yes I can say it's quite accurate.
But a lot of people abuse it.

 

Surely it doesn't give totally accurate results, but gives close to Accurate Results though

 

No , alexa is not accurate in anyway. Sites with lesser traffic are ranked higher than sites with more traffic.

 

I don't think it's accurate, I've heard that people can cheat & raise their alexa rankings

 

There are a lot of ways to cheat. You can use redirects, bots etc.

 

It is a sample. Samples are not accurate. However it is better than nothing.

 

we don't have nothing though, we have server stats which are an awesome measure of your sites traffic.

 

I don't care about alexa.

 

Maybe someday there'll be a more accurate traffic ranking tool..

Alexa is totally way off. If I just had half of the traffic they claim i have on my sites, I would not be sitting here, but would be enjoying life under the sun somewhere

 

My experience in administrating dozens of websites tells me that Alexa is really, really far away from the real numbers. This is specially true in certain demographics.

 

I own a website which receives over 25k uniques a day, which has a lower Alexa ranking than my 250 uniques/day directory

x100 more visitors and lower Alexa ranking, sums it up
