    Ecstasy is clearly worse per pill compared with alcohol per drink but then amount of injury done by drunk people is more vast than that done by those under the influence of ecstacy due its more widespread consumption

    What a silly thing to say. Who stops at just one drink? Whereas with ecstasy, when the quality of e was good you would only need the 1 pill to reach a threshold dosage. Your right about the violence. I remember a NYE here in Sydney. The police made a comment about how how well behaved the crowds were at parties one year, because everyone was on E :)

    Granted there are other important issues to tackle right now. But I would think dealing with harm reduction and the possibility of death was a pretty important issue too.
