I have a website that is informational. Its free. Do you think Adwords as a means to earning Adsense $$$ makes sense? Or do you think another form of advertising is better?
Opinions may vary but using AdWords to generate Adsense revenue, if it's your only business model for the site in question, is a poor one.
But I have had success with it and know others that have also. It works for some sites. There's some detailed info on the site and contextual ads. I'm not saying it's making a killing but it isn't losing money. It for sure is probably more of a pain than worth.
Any suggestions on a good way to advertise to drive traffic to my website? I already write articles and it has been my primary traffic source. Should I just save my money and just keep churning out those articles? I was thinking about maybe being listed as a resource of a website like About.com but I am not sure if they will list me or how much it will cost? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I've also "made it work" before. I'm pretty sure I posted something here about it one time. When it was all said and done just seemed like a lot of work for a small return. I think I used the term "chasing pennies" to describe it
I have found it works quite well for my site. I spend about $6.00 a day on Adsense and bring in over $20.00 on average after paying the Adwords bill. I would say it depends on the topic of the website though.
