I have about $300 that I want to invest in my flight simulator websites: www.fsstation.com and www.flightsimulator10.com FSStation.com is a site that provides high-quality flightsim content: updated news, reviews, tutorials, etc. Traffic: 450~500 uniques/day FlightSimulator10.com is a site focused only on the next version of flight simulator (yet to be released). It has only a few pages of content, but content is unique and relevant too. Both sites are monetized with Google AdSense. I want to boost traffic (mainly for fsstation) and make at least $300 from the Google ads. Do you think I would reach these goals with AdWords?
From a FS2004 fan: its hard to make money directly from direct conversion from adwords->adsense. I would focus on spending this money on trying to inflating the forum as a user forum can return latter and create more content there. Before starting spend AdWords on forum, I would: 1) Be sure that you know all that you need to know in who to correctly administrate and manage a forum: www.theadminzone.com 2) know exactly how much you would pay for a new subscription - I think that AdWords program would cost about $0.50 per new subscription (not all that click the ads agree to subscript)
I don't really care about forums, I want users to return to my site becuase of the quality content we offer them. I was thinking that CPM advertisement on several niche sites would be a better idea than spending the money on CPC. What do you guys think?
Do not burn your finger with concept by investing Adword and earn form Adsence. you can never increase vistor throug Adword. Basicaly Adword made for those people who want to coverrt their visitors into customer. thanks SEO http://www.xponsetech.com
Your big problem is that you would need an objective to follow and a way to track if AdWords is giving you what you want. Is hard to setup a campaign in AdWords that really convert in money and after spend $300,00 how do you will know if it worth or not? I don't think that adWords is for you for 2 main reasons: 1) the conversion adwords->adsense do not works even your site has content. 2) You do not has a way in how to track ROI (Return of Investiment) in AdWords for your site.
You could try Adwords but to be honest, I think Micromag has given you the most accurate answers, outlining some of the difficulties. Adwords can be a money pit. A big one! I can see where you are going with the CPM v's CPC ... and that may bring you some traffic but I wouldn't count on that traffic converting into an earner for you. The bottom line is visitors clicking on ads, right? So, let's say you pay for 100,000 impressions and it costs you $100. Let's then say that you get a 1% click through on your ads bringing you 1000 visitors. Now let's say of you get a whopping conversion of 10% on your site -- 100 people click on the Adsense ads on your site -- to recoup your outlay of $100, you are going to need each of those ads to be worth at least $1 each to you. How many $1+ Adsense clicks to you get? How often do you think you can convert 10%? It's not gonna happen.
Chiefwiggum, given that your site is highly specialised I'd suggest you focus your search engine marketing attention on SEO. $300 won't last long in pay per click.
i have the best idea for you. Just buy One code for adwrods 50 $ and experiment. I mean from this code who you pay 1-2 $ and recive 50$
To make your idea work, you should know what keywords have the highest bids in your niche. When you know that, you should create content using these expensive keywords. Then you should find out what the cheapest keywords are in your niche and bid on these at AdWords. Some AdSense related sites even sell lists of keywords categorized in niches with the highest and the lowest bid prices.

Hi, Of course, you can boost the number of visitors to your site with google adwords. But nobody can say how many visitors to your sites will be converted into prospective clients. Along with your PPC campaign partcipate in forums, blogs, write articles or press releases to promote your site and create inbound links. These steps will go a long way towards improving your SERP or search engine result page. When your SERP is good you will automatically get more visitors. Of course your site should have relevant content. Otherwise visitors will simply come and leave without creating a ripple in your sells. Rajat http://www.xponsetech.com/seo.html
It is difficult to get bookmarked even if your site is good and people does like it. So I won't count on it. In my experience a lot of people come to the site, they say "hm, nice idea.", go away and never come back or bookmark it.
To tell you the truth, unless your site can generate a fairly large volume $ via selling a product or service, then adwords probably will not work. If you do try then start small. If your only way of generating $ is adsense, well, that doesnt make sense to me.
I agree - AdWords -> AdSense arbitrage rarely, if ever, is profitable. If you can't come up with a product to sell, or even an affiliate agreement, you're better off using a smaller company for PPC advertising, where you'll have a lower CPC for your keywords. Sam
