    hey friends

I have lately started an online campaign for my travel website on Rajasthan. I have not kept budget too high, as I am still in initial days of business.

What I need to find out is whether Adwords is better than Yahoo Search Marketing becoz one of my friends use it.. and he is pretty much satisfied with it...

I would request all my fellow dp members to write their observations regarding this and guide me to the right path!!

    thnks..

I don't that a good question, but honestly over all I think Google sends better leads. I don't know what it is with Yahoo, but they seem to send bunch of junk traffic. No offense to anyone, but it seems to me that all the people that search using Yahoo are not serious buyers and as dedicated to what their doing as what Google is.

Google drives a little bit of both quality and poor traffic. Yahoo just straight out right drives low quality traffic. I drove a few good clients through there, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Yahoo has something that p**** me off! They don't allow global targeting. I have to get an account in each country I want to advertise (I don't want to have 27 accounts).

My suggestion: get a hang of AdWords first, then when a campaign is up and running profitably, import your campaign to YSM. Here's how:
    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/ysm/sps/screenref/16507.html

But master AdWords first! I found Yahoo crowd buys less online than Google crowd.

There is no 100% correct answer what is better. Depends on ad specific and advertiser skills!

    Just run a test:
make min payments to adwords (from $10) and yahoo, create the same ad with the same keywords and you will get an answer :)

It's easy to setup (20-30 minutes maximum) and not so expensive - maximum $35.

Lots of criticism directed at Yahoo here. I also lean towards Google clicks but still think Yahoo traffic is pretty good and I have seen success with it.
