So i woke up today, to find I had some rather curious mail. It turns out, the big G has sent me a £75 adwords voucher. What I want to know, is it worth using adwords? I've zero experience with it, and in honesty, I'm a little unsure. What do you guys recommend?

Adwords is a great advertising medium. But before starting to use it, educate yourself on what it's all about and how to do it right. Plenty of resources to help. You can start here:

I started with Adwords in 2005.

FIRST I set my daily ad spend at a rate that would not bankrupt me, even if I made no sales.

Then I learned the fundamentals of keyword selection and ad placement as I went along, paying close attention to Google's own advice and training.

Never did buy a "course" or pay a "guru" to "train" me. I still use Adwords as a primary driver in several markets.

But do NOT think of Adwords as a lottery or as a means of generating a big cash windfall by next Thursday.

Start slow, be prepared to fund from your own pocket until you learn how to make sales.

    Wishing all the best

I would personally use 3rd tier search engines and media buys.

    SCREW GOOGLE!

Adword is a great method to get noticed quickly. Everyone can not get their website within top 2-3 of pages of search engines and its very important to let people know there is something you offer. Using adword, you can place your website in page 1 and sale starts.
