Yes, they're profitable, but the Adult Site market is EXTREMELY saturated, so it will be hard to get people going to your site. Make sure you have something very unique.

I'd suggest you sign up to be an affiliate with different models.

 

Its horribly saturated. It takes a good 2 years of constant SEO to get competitive.

Hit the nail on the head, it will take at least 2-4 years to even get any significant income, and thats if you're consistent.

I would recommend checking out GFY Forums as well as GreenGuy and Jim's radio show / forums for good resources (essentially industry leaders).

It is true - there are so many adult sites out there and their number is rapidly growing. It is a very time and effort and money consuming task to promote such website but sooner or later the investment will pay itself off.

Alternatively IMO there is good scope for an adult social networking site for start up as there are less competition and promotion seems easier than a matured adult site.
