I want to like AdToll. I really do. They are scrappy, innovative, and a welcome alternative. But as an advertiser, its hard to trust them. My first time around, 4 of the 5 ads I signed up for were either not delivered or were delivered inconsistent with the order (for example, paying for a pic-text right by the logo and getting a text only ad in the footer). My account rep credited my account for these problems so I decided to give it another go. The problem this time is that the stats are patently inaccurate. For example AdToll says it delivered 39 visitors clicked to my startup site (url is in the footer) today as of this afternoon. But Google Analytics only says that 13 referrals occurred, and 2 were from sites that I know are unconnected with AdToll. I know AdToll works on Australian Western time, and if the problem only happened once in a while maybe the time difference could explain. However, every single day AdToll says it delivers more visitors than Google registers. What gives? Has anyone else had similar problems? I hope they can work out the kinks so I can scale up my advertising, but so far its been a real disappointment.
I've had exactly the same problems. Their customer service is awesome, and always quick replies to emails. I also like them from a publisher point of view, i get paid on time every time. However, as an advertiser i don't hold much faith.
