No, you can't have a fixed income off AdSense unless you get employed at a fixed rate to do AdSense stuff.

When you're self employed, there is no such thing as a fixed income.

Hi Omar. I am no revenue expert, thats something I can tell you for sure but I would like to share what all I know and have learnt.

If you think you can money on the Internet, then you are right. But if you think it would be easy, you are wrong! I signed up with adsense exactly 1 year back. For a few months, making money through it seemed hopeless but as my site started getting popular, the click through rate started to increae too. And with that, I started making a few dollars. It took quite a time for all this to settle down. But still there is something which I am not happy with. The number of clicks I get everyday is good but the ads which get displayed on my site are low paying ones. Most clicks pay me as low as 0.01 cents.

I guess the reason to this is that, the site I am referring to here is a fansite. Not really a good choice for making money :) But then I never had any intentions of making profit from it when I started it.

Right now I am downloading a famous book which was written on how to make money online. The title of the book is "Make Your Site Sell! 2002". It was available for purchase at a price of 29.5$ but recently its been made free for download :) I am not sure about posting links here on DP so PM if you want its link. I'll be glad to share it with you.

    Regards,
    -- Naif

Hello, and welcome. Well, you might earn a living using Adsense, but you can't fully depend on it. This is because you don't own Adsense, and if Adsense did some changes that can drop your income, you're dead.
I'd like to advise you not to focus on one ads programme if you invest everything online.
Have some backups ads will save your life. :p

Naif I would love to see the book. And Omar, you can earn through Adsense but it is not as easy as it sounds and it depends on what kind of site you are going to build and how good your content is.

    Dear Friends,

I don't know why we are talking about Ad sense in the introduction Forum. I am no admin or moderator so i can't take any action to move the post to the specified forum for specially Ad sense.

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27

This is a very useful forum for you if you are really interested about Ad sense secrets. Secrets are no more than information. Don't you think so? But they are some well kept info which is not shared to the common people. So they are denoted as secret. I prefer to acquire as much information as i can get about any subject. I did the same thing for Google Ad sense also.

Google ad sense is the highest paying Ad Network in my experience. See the income is related to many factors. Ad sense plays a very little role on what you will earn. It totally depends on your website and the visitors of your website. You should make better website which can be accessible by most of the users. Ads should be placed perfect (which you can understand after lots of try) in the page where you can get most of the clicks. No Click frauding with Google. He really hates it. Don't ask your visitors to click on the Ads. Try to format your ad codes related to your site's theme. That will give better impression to user about the Ads. They will not be afraid to click on the Ad links. And you can earn good money. You should know your Network of Websites I mean the websites which does have the same interest or theme like your website. You have share thoughts links between these websites as you can get taste targeted visitors those will be profitable. Because you will not be paid same for every ads. Different Ads carry different Price. You need to know the Keywords which pay higher. Need to put related subject or materials or info on that subject as you can get those kinds of ads. You have to review your Ad sense report at least once in a day for several months. Then I am sure you can predict what is the fix income you are going to get per month from your website using Ad sense honestly.
    I wish you luck.

    Thanks.

Adsense has been a very small percentage of my online earnings thus far. But that may be because I don't concentrate on it too much. I simply disagree with the business model as a whole.

You create a site that you are proud of, only to place ads in positions to where you are TRYING to get people to leave. What kind of sense does that make? By all means, place Adsense on your sites in case you can monetize the traffic any other way, but to drive new visitors to your site day after day just to get them to click away seems like madness to me. There are just too many other ways to monetize those visitors while KEEPING THEM ON YOUR SITE.

Just my .02. But yeah, this is the wrong forum for this.

And yes, unless you have a "system" down pat for Adsense you would be a fool to count on the income it generates from month-to-month.

if you have a traffic on website , it really does not matter are you using adsense or any other CPA network . These days adsense have lot of alternatives. best is to spend time on building traffic rather thinking which ppc/network can pay you more ...
    BTW , welcome to DP
