I think the US economy has a greater risk of collapsing then Google shuttting down Adsense. In fact, if the US economy were to completely crumble, Google could probably bail them out. :D

Many sites that do ok with Adsense can switch to affiliate ads and make money. Some would actually make more. The bottom line is that if you have traffic, you can make money...

Google does not make the majority of their money from adsense. Their own web properties equate to 80% of their revenues. Adsense profits maybe make up the other 20 %.

Anyway, it is not going any where. And if it did, there are plenty of fall back options. You might not make as much, but you will still be able to earn a decent living.

Not going to happen - Google make far too much money from showing ads for them ever to close AdSense.

Sure it may change in the future, but it won't close.

indirectly fraud clicks are also helping advertisers too , however "paid click program" work , click fraud also human they will also buy from fraud click ( 001% chance )

Google detecting non relevant , bashing traffic like forums , non targeted visitors to give low paying smart price.

i am adwords advertiser my profit is 700% from my advertising cost.

no way its coming to an end. its a little slow for the publishers right now as there have been too many and lot of MFA and crappy sites draining adwords advertisers money. but google is addressing on them and suspending lot of publishers these days that don;t add much value to the program (not because the publishers voilated any TOS). thats why we see lot of threads with adsense email copy in them showing publisher's business model not being a fit. i believe adsense will come back being lot better than it is currently

Sure, there's a chance, but not much chance. Google is one of the most successful players on the Internet right now. I wish I owned some of their stock.

There's less chance of Google failing than of the companies that most people now work for. In fact, I quit my day job seven years ago and put all my faith in Google and Internet affiliate programs. It's been working out very well. I think it will do just as well or better in the next 7 years.

    You worry way too much.

Everyone here saying "No that will not happen" are adsense publishers but in reality this might happen within few years. Google will not end adsense program but it migh make it difficult for the publishers to make good money.

If Microsoft wins the yahoo deal then Microsoft will go hard at Google, it might even combine both Microsoft Adcenter and YPN. If this happens Google will definately face a real threat.

If Microsoft and Yahoo merge together then Microsoft becomes stronger in terms of visitors and the advertisers will get more interested in Microsoft than Google. And if this happens, Google will face real problem because publishers will also concentrate more on Microsoft than Google.

These are just my foresight, lets see what the time has for all of us.

If Google stop adsense, you can use other ad services. There are so many of them...don't be afraid.

I reckon Google has a lot of room to work with though. I'm sure they're taking the majority of profit from Adsense ads. If they were faced with any serious threat they could lower their margins giving publishers a better share. For being so established I doubt a Microsoft/Yahoo merger could swoop in and take their client base.
