Is Adsense generating less earnings?

    Hi!

I´m from Sweden and i got my monthly pay from Adsense some days ago.

When i looked in the details i could not come to another conclusion that Adsense does not pay as good as they did before.
Is it a trend? My earnings is about 20 to 30 percent less then a year ago.

I have the same amount of traffic so that is not the problem but i cant figure out what.
For the moment i have no Adsense ads on any of my sites.

1.Is the earning EPC/CPC and EPM/CPM different now? How do Google calculate between those now days?

    2. I am very intersted in what way i can earn from Adsense ads today?
There must be some experts out there who can explain this, in what ways and how we can make money from an Adsense ad.

    Best Regards!
    Peder

That's right Nico. When times are hard, the advertising budget is one of the first things that gets chopped.

Googles policy perhaps also has been changed here?
They want to expand their profit and how can they do that? By a higher margin! They keep more of the advertisers money themselves!

I noticed the same, adsense is paying less. I recently started using tribal fusion for one of my sites (the only one that fits their stringent requirements) and the eCpm is markedly better than Google's so if you can get into their network you should give it a try.

When i started this thread i wasn´t sure if it was a trend or not. Well all comments (Thank You) it is no doubt about it : Adsense is generating less!
Then we can speculate in why. 1) Less advertiser 2) Hard times makes companies cut their budgets 3) Mr Google keep more for himselves -higher margin 4) More competitors out there.... The answer is not only one reason i think it´s a combination of all factors. Thanks to arjun 15 for the tips of a very good article ( i recommend it, time to think "outside the box" and be more global) and e 96 for tips about another network.

Its the advertisers who are paying less. And i guess google has raised their commission of our earnings as well. Not sure about it, but i have heard it from someone.

    there two major reason,
    1. advertiser is paying less, the PPC facing a big competition nowadays
    2. the adsense publisher is increase, the chance to get good CPC ads is drop

My income has decreased a little bit but as long as you continue to focus on creating high quality content you will be fine. Times are rough financially for many of the advertisers so a lot of them had to cut their advertising costs a bit which will slightly affect us. Hang in there it will get better!

The safest way to make a good living online is list building. I would use Adsense as supplemental income, that's it.
